We spend many years of our lives trying to “find” ourselves, trying to make sense of who we truly are and what the true purpose of our existence is. Our sense of self is usually formed and influenced by our upbringing, culture, society and religion. But often times we cannot identify with any of these external factors and may still feel “lost” in our being. Many of us are constantly experiencing a profound sense of disconnection. We feel disconnected from our true essence, our deepest core, our Higher Selves. Being disconnected from our Higher Selves can cause many problems in our lives, including mental and physical conditions, and some even experience existential crisis. Unfortunately in our society today nothing promotes or facilitates a deeper connection to ourselves. In fact, the exact opposite is true. From the very beginning of our lives we are viewed, rated and treated by our status, skills, appearances, possessions and accomplishments. Each of us plays many different roles in life, such as a parent, a sibling, a teacher, a partner, a leader, etc. When we are disconnected from Divine Energy, we allow ourselves to be influenced by what other people may think of us and we try so hard to live up to a certain image, which in the end only leaves us feeling exhausted and even more lost.

Growth begins with the sowing of seeds.  In our garden of life, the practice of planting seeds is an act of self-love and self-care which is essential for our spiritual growth. The seeds we plant in the garden of our hearts and minds are our intentions, words, thoughts, values and goals. Within the seed lies the power of life, everything that is necessary to grow the plant and the fruit. Our role as gardeners is to choose, plant and tend the best seeds within the garden of our consciousness.
